Celebrating Teachers’ Day 2021

teachers day

Teaching is the most influential job in the world. Teachers have the opportunity to not just change lives, but also the ability to change them for life too. A life of learning begins with a teacher.

When?

Since 1994, the world commemorates World Teachers’ Day on 5th September. The day marks the anniversary of the adoption of the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers. The endorsement celebrates the accomplishment of teachers as well as the importance of education.

Due to its national academic calendar, Singapore commemorates Teachers’ Day on the last Friday of Term 3. In 2021, this celebration is on 3rd September and the day is an official day off for schools. Celebrations are organised the day before, and students get a half-day off to participate in events. They put on performances to entertain teachers and express their gratitude towards them. Students often give gifts and flowers to their teachers or mentors on this special day as a token of respect, honour and gratitude.

Why?

At Elucidation Learning, our educators represent the beliefs of our organisation — committed, nurturing and acutely aware of how limitless each child’s potential to grow is. Our teachers are a well-rounded, talented, and complementary team of educators. They are also effective teachers and motivators with diverse experiences and skillsets.

We celebrate every individual in our team. You inspire hope, ignite imaginations, and instil a love of learning. Most of all, you are YOU. We would not be who we are and where we are without you.

THANK YOU.

The educator must believe in the potential power of his pupil, and he must employ all his art in seeking to bring his pupil to experience this power.

— Alfred Adler.
